Its official today that Ubuntu One service is being closed for good.
Its not surprising but albeit some of the Thomases wished Canonical reversed their decision somehow. But that’s not the case as it seems. It is also not an inconvenience for those who kept reading their mails. A service Canonical have been using regularly to warn and give probable alternatives for those who did not have a means or rather the data bundles to facilitate the download.
Am seating here wishing Canonical really use the extra time and resources that will be revealed well enough to ensure some project such as the Ubuntu Phone become more than a hopeful reality.
