I have waited for so long before I upgraded. That has been unlike myself when I used to upgrade on the release dates.
UPGRADE REQUEST
May be this was accustomed by the fear I have always had that the upgrade may go wrong like some several had gone wrong. That made me to clean and loose data because something was wrong. So basicallly, those were not upgrades. But merely clean installs.
ACCEPT THIS TO CONTINUE
This time round, i have debated with myself the longest in fear that the same may occur. Because this time, I would prove a disaster in my career and growing business at Reflex Concepts. Having a serious dual boot system, I had to be sure.
START UPGRADE
I have also taken my time to ensure I give information that is solid. Lest you run back to Tuongee Tech‘s blog and call me a cheat.
NOW RELAX AS IT WORKS THE MAGIC
The point is, dont fret. I have not had ground breaking issues that would make me recommend otherwise. The transition to a new code base has been made so seemless you may not realise the changes at first.
The only thing I reinstalled was #UbuntuSDK. And to say the least, seems like my system need a seious cleanup as the upgrade deactivated all those unnecessary ppas, that you always install as a result of curiousity.
And then again, the #UbuntuSDK has become more solid. The virtual device management is smoother and less resource hungry.
THAT IS MY NEW DETAIL INFO
So overall, it has been a good wait.
